# Cocoon Privacy Policy

Cocoon is a baby tracking app designed to help parents and caregivers log baby care activity quickly and privately.

## Information Cocoon Stores

Cocoon may store information that you enter into the app, including:

- Baby names and birth dates
- Feeding, sleep, diaper, burp, pumping, and weight logs
- Caregiver display names
- Notes you add to logs
- App preferences such as units, theme, and selected caregiver name

Cocoon does not ask for advertising identifiers, location, contacts, photos, microphone access, camera access, or health database access.

## How Information Is Used

The information stored in Cocoon is used only to provide app functionality, including:

- Showing recent baby activity
- Creating timelines and summaries
- Tracking feeding, sleep, diaper, pumping, and weight history
- Supporting multiple children
- Supporting optional family sharing through iCloud

Cocoon does not sell your data. Cocoon does not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking.

## Local Storage and iCloud

Cocoon stores app data locally on your device using Apple Core Data.

If you use iCloud sync or CloudKit family sharing, your Cocoon data may also be stored in Apple iCloud using Apple CloudKit. CloudKit is operated by Apple and is used to sync and share data between your devices and family members you invite.

When you invite another person to a shared family, that person may be able to view and edit shared baby data depending on the permissions provided by Apple CloudKit sharing.

## Third Parties

Cocoon uses Apple services such as iCloud and CloudKit for syncing and sharing. Cocoon does not include third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs.

Apple may process iCloud and App Store related information according to Apple's own privacy policies.

## Data Retention and Deletion

Cocoon data remains on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud until you delete it.

You can delete logs or categories of logs in the app. You can also delete app data by deleting the app from your device and removing associated iCloud data through your Apple ID iCloud settings.

If you participate in CloudKit family sharing, deleting shared data may affect other shared family members. If you accept a shared family invite, Cocoon may ask whether to remove local-only baby data from your device before replacing it with shared family data.

## Children's Privacy

Cocoon is intended for use by parents and caregivers. The app stores baby care information entered by the user, but it is not intended to be used directly by children.

## Not Medical Advice

Cocoon is only a logging and tracking tool. Cocoon does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, clinical recommendations, emergency support, or professional childcare advice. Parents and caregivers are responsible for making care decisions and should contact a qualified medical professional for health concerns.

## Security

Cocoon relies on Apple's device security, Core Data storage, and iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple ID, and iCloud account.

## Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated as Cocoon changes. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date above.
